Folke Anselm Ahlqvist, Born in Kasko, Finland, June 23rd, 1916 Was in Finnish Merchant Marines before immigrating to the U.S. He Served 28 years in U.S. Army- He fought in World War II, Korea, and two tours in Vietnam . MSG Ahlqvist Retired from the Army in 1971. He was a tough Finlander! As it is commonly said in the Army “He was harder than woodpecker lips!”
