Justin Martin was a member of the CrossFit Des Moines community. He was a constant presence in the 4:15 p.m. class at the Urbandale location. All accounts of Justin will tell you that he was a kind, quiet and hard-working man. He had a way of exuding positivity. That energy helped inspire and set the tone for many of the members that trained with Justin. Justin was ambushed and killed in the line of duty Nov 2, 2016 while responding to a 911 call for shots fired. He was an officer with the Urbandale Police Department.
