In honor of CPL Benjamin C. Dillon

Cpl. Benjamin C. Dillon was killed in action on October 6, 2007 in Iraq during combat operations against known enemies of the United States of America.

Cpl. Dillon initially entered the United States Army on September 24, 2004. and after completion of one station unit training and the Ranger Indoctrination Program, was assigned to B Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Cpl. Dillon served as a rifleman, Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman, Machine Gunner and Gun Team Leader, in B Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. His last assignment was as a Gun Team Leader in B Company, 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia.

Cpl. Dillon’s awards and decoration include the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal 2nd award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Army Expert Infantryman Badge, and the Parachutist Badge.

Cpl. Dillon was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and recommended for the Bronze Star Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal.

CPL Benjamin Dillon
